Votes for Animals

In light of the up coming election LUSH have launched a campaign called 'Votes for Animals', encouraging the general public to use their vote keeping in mind the impact it could have on animal lives across the country.

"The lives of domestic pets, farm animals, wildlife and the millions of animals in research laboratories are dictated by decisions made by government.  The government that we choose for them!"

Having teamed up with Common Decency, the League Against Cruel Sports and Animal Aid, LUSH staged a march towards Westminster including support from rock legend Brian May to remind the government that animals are not forgotten when it comes to people making their vote. The movement is indicative of the 'Votes for Women' suffragette movement, with many people dressed in similar clothing that would have been worn during those protests, whilst also wearing animal head masks to make a statement.

Many people involved on the day such as LUSH co-founder Mark Constantine have dedicated their lives to finding ways to end animal cruelty through the products they create.

So when you vote, please look at your dog or cat or rabbit and think about what's best for them as well as you.
