Eat Pretty

So a about a month or so ago I was at home in Southampton and shopping with my sister when I stumbled across 'Eat Pretty' By Jolene Hart in Urban Outfitters. Jolene Hart is a beauty editor and health coach who wanted to know what she could do to help her beauty from the inside and less through the use of expensive treatments and products that she found weren't working for her.
I really like knowing what different foods can do for your body and this book is amazing for that. It basically tells you what to cut out of your diet to maximise your energy levels, lift your mood, improve the quality of your skin, hair and nails and as a result of the healthy eating even lose a little weight in the process. It literally is as simple as eating more of your veggies and less processed foods kids. This sounds really obvious but it tells you exactly what all the different foods do to your body, good and bad. So you can learn how to counteract all the bad stuff in the one or 10 too many bourbons you had earlier.
Although not all of the recipes are vegan a few of them are, and most of them are vegetarian with the exception of fish dishes. Eating clean is one of the most sensible 'diets' the world has ever had which is just fab really isn't it. Also, she says you can have maple syrup which just does it all for me, really.
